Australian band Flap! play Birmingham for the first time!
Don’t miss this, 3 stonking bands in one night! Wednesday 18th July…
Amazing Australian quintet FLAP! are stopping by the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath on their first UK tour. A fiery and charming band of brass, words, skins & guts from Melbourne who crank out up-tempo music that’s both old & new. Inspired by much, but unlike any other you’ve seen, expect influences from1920’s jazz to English folk to Trinidadian calypso!
Joining them Birmingham’s very own, THE BONFIRE RADICALS, unleash their uniquely liberated musical styles, with contrasting sweet nuances and a carefully crafted raucousness. Their eight individual personalities unite with spirit and zeal to create a harmonious hotchpotch of sound.
And as if that wasn’t enough, DAMBA, comprising members of The Destroyers, will play a variety of tunes borrowed from genres as diverse as Klezma, Hot Club, Tango, Country and Western and Fraggle Rock! Joining them on stage will be legendary Roma duo – Gelo and Thoma.
